Ringo Starr records the vocals for Octopus's Garden on April 29, 1969

"Octopus's Garden" a track from the 1969 Beatles album Abbey Road was one of only two Beatles songs that Ringo Starr wrote. The other was the White Album's "Don't Pass Me Buy."

On April 29th of 1969 Ringo's lead vocal was recorded onto the song.

Listen to these early recordings of "Octopus's Garden" as Ringo seems to be showing the other Beatles the song idea and they then work on it to try and flesh it out.
