Billy Ray Cyrus hit #1 on the US album charts on June 13, 1992

Billy Ray Cyrus hit #1 on the US album charts with Some Gave All on June 13th of 1992 and it stayed at #1 for 17 weeks and has gone on to sell over 9 million copies in the United States.

The album (which was his debut album) is mostly known for the hit single "Achy Breaky Heart."

Although often cited as a one hit wonder, Cyrus has had 5 other top 10 singles on the country charts but "Achy Breaky Heart" was his one major "crossover" hit.

Billy Ray Cyrus' 14 year old daughter Miley Cyrus plays the part of Hannah Montana in the Disney channel show of the same name.
