It has gone on to be one of the most critically acclaimed albums of all time. Pitchfork Media named it as the #1 album of the 1990s in 2003. Spin Magazine selected it as the best album of the past 20 years in 2005. NME selected it as the 16th best album of all time in 2003. The users of RateYourMusic.com have rated it as the best album of the 1990s. Time Magazine selected it as one of the best 100 albums of all time in 2006.
