Adam Horovitz was born on October 31st of 1966 in South Orange, New Jersey.
Horovitz is a rapper, guitarist, & producer most well known as “Adrock” of the Beastie Boys. He has been a member of the Beastie Boys since 1983.
In 1986 the Beastie Boys released their debut album, Licensed to Ill. It was hugely successful and remains their most commercially successful album to this day.
It features some of their most well known songs like “No Sleep till Brooklyn,” “Brass Monkey,” & “Fight for Your Right (to Party!)”
Their second album, 1989′s Paul’s Boutique, was initially seen as something of a commercial failure but it was (and is) a huge critical success and it is now a multi-million seller.
Paul’s Boutique was a huge step forward as far as using sampling in a more creative way. The album was co-produced with Dust Brothers who were instrumental in the album’s ground breaking sound.
