Charlie Rich was born on December 14th of 1932 in Colt, Arkansas. He died on July 23, 1995 at the age of 62.

In 1973 (at the age of 50) he had his only #1 US single, “The Most Beautiful Girl.” Rich had 7 #1 country songs in 1973 & 1974. He also had a #1 country hit in 1977 and in 1978 for a total of 9 #1 country hits in his career.
