The DigiTech RP 200 guitar pedal is not intended to (or able to) mimic the tones of classic rock guitar. It’s a simple, easy to use, and cheap guitar pedal that’s great for beginners who just want to experiment with different sounds. It’s also able to create some pretty unusual rather interesting sounds if you tweak the settings enough. The presets tend to be pretty boring and cheesy. I recommend fiddling with it until you get something interesting.

The pedal also comes with a simple built in drum machine which makes it very convenient for practicing with. And for most people that’s what this pedal is, a great practice pedal. It’s great as a practice pedal for the reasons I stated above, it’s easy to use and it’s cheap. It’s got everything you need to explore what delays, wah, phaser, flange and so on can do to your guitar sound.
