I just came across this Voice Box demonstration video made by Jack Conte (who we featured here awhile back with his song “Gulf“) and I think I’m sold on the Electro Harmonix Voice Box. This thing looks to be quite awesome (and very versatile.) It can do vocal harmonies (”intelligently” based on the chords being played along with the melody) & vocoder stuff (as you’ll see in the video, there are a lot of different ways to use the vocoder.)

I usually don’t include YouTube videos here because it’s annoying when they get taken down and then there’s this blank video in the blog, but I’ll go ahead and break my rule for this one, figuring there’s no reason for anyone to take it down:
