Fall Be Kind (EP) by Animal Collective is Out Today

On January 20th Animal Collective released Merriweather Post Pavilion and it’s been one of the most critically acclaimed albums of the year (Pitchfork gave it a 9.6, it’s ranked as the 3rd best reviewed album of 2009 by Metacritic, and users of RateYourMusic.com currently have it as the #1 rated album of 2009.) Personally, it’s my favorite Animal Collective album to date
Today Fall Be Kind is out. With Merriweather Post Pavilion it creates Animal Collective bookends for 2009. This is a five track EP that runs about 27 minutes. I haven’t heard it yet, but I’m downloading the album from Amazon’s MP3 Downloads Store right now (it’s only $4.49 as a download.)

Holy crap! Thanks or the news! I’ve loved the ever-loving daylights out of Animal Collecting over since I heard “Sung Tongs” - brilliant stuff, as well as Strawberry Jam and their last album (something something pavilion/GREAT ALBUM!). Thanks again for the info/heads up!

I’m loving this EP so far. Especially track #2, that may just be my favorite AC song to date.
