Stacy Ann Ferguson was born on March 27th of 1975 in Hacienda Heights, California. She is best known by her stage name “Fergie.” She has been a commercial success both as a vocalist for the Black Eyed Peas and as solo artist.
Fergie’s first appearance on a Black Eyed Peas album was on 2003′s Elephunk which was their first album with significant commercial success (it hit #14 on the US album charts and #3 on the UK album charts.) Their follow up album, 2005′s Monkey Business, was even more successful reaching #2 in the US. The Black Eyed Peas had released two albums prior to Fergie joining the group: 1998′s Behind the Front and 2000′s Bridging the Gap which reached #129 and #67 on the US album charts, respectively.
She has thus far released only one studio album during her solo career: 2006′s The Dutchess which has sold over 6 million copies worldwide and reached #2 on the US album charts. The album featured three #1 US singles: “London Bridge,” “Glamorous,” and “Big Girls Don’t Cry.” Two more singles reached the top five: “Fergalicious” and “Clumsy.”
