Jim O’Rourke was born January 18th of 1969. He is known as both a musician and a producer.

As a producer he has worked with many bands/artists including Wilco, Stereolab, Joanna Newsom, and Sonic Youth. As a musician he has collaborated with many bands/artists. He was an official member of Sonic Youth (as a guitarist) for their 2002 album Murray Street and their 2004 album Sonic Nurse.

He’s released a large number of solo albums. His first solo release was 1989′s Some Kind of Pagan. His most recent was 2006′s Corona / Tokyo Realization.
