Justin Timberlake was born on January 31st of 1981 in Memphis, Tennessee. He is most well known as a member of the late ’90s/early ’00s boy band NSync and more recently as a successful solo performer.

NSync released three studio albums: 1998′s self titled debut, 2000′s No Strings Attached, and 2001′s Celebrity. Each of the albums were a huge commercial success in the US, although Celebrity somewhat less so (it’s only been certified 5X Platinum compared to 10X and 11X for the first two albums.)

Surprisingly they only had one #1 hit on the Billboard charts, 2000′s “It’s Gonna Be Me.” They had five other songs which reached the top 10: “God Must Have Spent a Little More Time on You,” “Music of My Heart,” “Bye Bye Bye,” “This I Promise You,” & “Girlfriend.”

He’s released two solo albums to date, 2002′s Justified and 2006′s FutureSex/LoveSounds. A 3rd album may be released this year although an album title and release date have not been set.

Justified has sold 7.5 million copies worldwide and is certified at 3X Platinum in the US. FutureSex/LoveSounds has sold 9 million copies and is certified at 4X Platinum.

He’s had 6 top 10 singles as a solo performer, including three #1′s (all from FutureSex/LoveSounds) -> “Sexy Back,” “My Love,” & “What Goes Around…/…Comes Around.”
