Klaus Voorman Turned 70 Today

Klaus Voorman is a German artist, musician, and record producer who is probably most well known for his association with The Beatles. He turned 70 years old today as he was born on April 29th of 1938.
He designed the cover of The Beatles classic 1966 album Revolver:
Voorman also designed the covers for the Beatles anthology albums which came out in the 1990s.
He was also the bassist for the band Manfred Mann and with John Lennon’s Plastic Ono Band. He played bass in George Harrison’s band in 1971′s The concert for Bangladesh.

Revolver is an awesome cover. It’s amazing that these ’60s guys are starting to turn 70 now. Ringo is 68 isn’t he?

1966 I was working for Shel Talmy & when we went into the recording studio with Manfred Mann I first met Klaus.
how time flys Yesterday I purchased a huge poster collage of the Beatles created by Klaus.
I will always remember you Klaus even if I would not sing on Semi Detached Surburban Mr James I really was shy!
So the framed poster purchased from American Arts of Armand Circle Sarasota will adorn the lounge in our Florida home where we can recall those crazy years of the 60′s
