Jon Anderson Was Born On October 25, 1944

Jon Anderson was born as John Roy Anderson on October 25th of 1944 in England.

Anderson is the lead singer for the progressive rock band Yes which was formed in 1968 by Anderson and bassist Chris Squire. Guitarist Steve Howe joined the band in 1970 and keyboardist Rick Wakeman joined in 1971.

Among Yes's most well known albums are 1971's The Yes Album & Fragile, 1972's Close to the Edge, and 1973's Tales from Topographic Oceans.

Among Yes's most well known songs are "I've Seen All Good People," "Roundabout," and "Owner of a Lonely Heart" which was the band's only #1 single when it reached the top of the US charts in 1983.

Jeff Beck was born on June 24, 1944

Jeff Beck was born as Geoffrey Arnold Beck on June 24th of 1944 in England.

Jeff Beck joined the Yardbirds in 1965 after Eric Clapton left the group. In 1966 he shared the lead guitar role with Jimmy Page. Beck left the Yardbirds after a year and a half.

Among the songs recorded during the Beck era of the Yardbirds was "Shapes of Things"

In 1967 Beck created a new band called The Jeff Beck Group which featured Rod Stewart on vocals and Ron Wood on bass.
