Willie Nelson Was Charged With Drug Possession On September 18, 2006

Willie Nelson and four members of his band were charged with drug possession on September 18th of 2006. This occurred in Saint Parish Marsh, Louisiana when Nelson and his band's tour bus was pulled over at a "routine traffic stop." They were driving from their performance at Austin City Limits on September 16th.

According to state police reports, 1.5 pounds of marijuana and 0.2 pounds of psychoactive mushrooms were found on his tour bus. They were charged only with misdemeanor drug possession.

Support NORML if you believe that marijuana should be legalized (it should be, by the way.)
