Michael Jackson Hits #1 On The US Singles Charts With “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough” On October 13, 1979

Michael Jackson had his second #1 US single as a solo artist with “Don’t Stop ’til You Get Enough” when it reached the top of the US charts on October 13, 1979. His first #1 US single had been “Ben” 7 years earlier.
This song also reached #1 in Australia & Norway. It hit #3 in Belgium, Denmark, & the UK.
“Don’t Stop ’til You Get Enough” was the lead track on Jackson’s 1979 album Off the Wall which also featured Jackson’s 3rd #1 single, “Rock with You.” The title track “Off the Wall,” and “She’s out of My Life” both reached #10 on the charts.
