Neil Young was born on November 12th of 1945 in Toronto.
Young first gained exposure as a member of Buffalo Springfield. He has also been a sometime member of Crosby, Stills, & Nash (Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young when he plays with them.) But he’s most well known now for his solo career which has spanned many decades.
His most successful album commercially has been 1972’s Harvest which reached #1 on the Billboard album charts and has sold over 4 million copies in the United States to date.
“Cinnamon Girl,” “Heart of Gold,” “Old Man,” “Like a Hurricane,” “The Needle and the Damage Done,” “Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black),” and “Rockin’ in the Free World” are among his most well known songs.
