Vitology hit #1 on the US album charts on December 24th of 1994. It was Pearl Jam’s 3rd album (after Ten & Vs.)
Vitology also reached #1 in Australia, New Zealand, & Norway. It reached #4 in the UK and #2 in Canada. It’s been certified 5 times Platinum in the US (over 5 million units shipped.)
The album includes “Better Man,” “Not for You,” & “Spin the Black Circle” among it’s 14 tracks. It’s considered by some to be their most “uncompromising” and “original” album.

I’m not a Pearl Jam fan but they did have a special something back then. I mean if you think about it, comparing Pearl Jam to the so called rock bands of today it’s not even close. I mean.. Nickelback? Are you kidding me? It’s sad. It really is. There’s just no artistry in mainstream music today. The 90s were a time when music that was actually meaningful could also be really popular. That doesn’t seem possible today. Now it’s like there’s the real music that only “indie” people listen to and then there’s the absolute garbage that “normal” people listen to that’s on the TV and the radio.
