This post has absolutely nothing to do with music. And to make it even worse, it’s the first post on the blog in almost two weeks! My excuse is that things have been hectic and I haven’t had time to post (and unfortunately the contributions from other members has dwindled — and no new writers seem to want to join the blog – damn you!)

But with the final episode of Lost on last night (don’t worry, I’m not the kind of jerk who likes to spoil things for others – no spoilers here) this show has taken over my mind to the point where I want to write about it on my music blog even though it has nothing to do with music.

Actually, I’ve been addicted to this show all this year. I came to the show late as I got the first two seasons on DVD as a Christmas present for Christmas ’09 and I ended up watching the first five seasons on DVD in just a couple of months (I compressed five years of a show into two months – which I think gave me a different appreciation than people who watched it over the course of five years.)

It’s a show where every episode leads to the next. It’s all one huge story. You can’t just pick it up in the middle. You really need to watch it from the beginning all the way through to the end. Anyway, if you’re new to the show (or you are an addict like me) then you will want to ORDER the COMPLETE COLLECTION of LOST (on DVD or Blu-Ray.)

I’m not a big TV viewer. In fact there are only a few shows that are only a few current TV shows that I have any interest in watching now that Lost is done (Dexter, Bill Maher, & Curb Your Enthusiasm.) I mention this to say that this show isn’t just another show, it’s really something special. I honestly envy anyone who has yet to get into the show because they will get to experience the unfolding of this great story for the first time. Speaking of that, be sure to avoid all spoilers! For this story to have it’s full impact, you need to view from beginning to end without any prior knowledge of what’s to come.
