Michael Jackson Turned 50 Today

I almost missed it as the day is nearly over (at least here on the East coast) but today is Michael Jackson’s 50th birthday. He was born on July 18, 1958. Some interesting perspective; he’s more than 3 years older than Democratic Presidential nominee Barack Obama.
I won’t go through the whole Michael Jackson biography here, that stuff is around and it’s too late to get into it. Child star with the Jackson 5. Superstar in the ’80s. Increasingly strange as the years went by.
How about these days? He’s supposed to release his first new studio album since 2001’s Invincible this year. But no release date or title has been set.
A number of big name younger stars are rumored to be collaborating with Jackson on songs for the new album. Among them are will.i.am (Black Eyed Peas) & Kanye West.
