New Portishead Album
By Marvin Marks on Jan 25, 2008 in Music News
Portishead is releasing their first album in over 10 years on April 14th (that’s a Monday so that’s the UK release date.) The album will be the band’s third studio album and is thus aptly titled Third. It will be their first since 1997’s self titled Portishead. Their debut album was 1994’s Dummy which was largely responsible for popularizing trip-hop.
The known details of the album are that it has 11 tracks and is 49 minutes long. It will be distributed by Island Records.
Portishead has also announced a European tour for 2008, although they are making one stop in America at the Coachella festival in California on April 26th.
