In other cool McCartney related news, I appreciate that he is refusing to apologize for the joke he made about George W. Bush when he was collecting the Gerswin Prize at the White House.

And while (kind of) on the subject of politics, here’s a friendly reminder: Make Sure You Are Registered To Vote. Consider that the idiot Republican Congressman (Joe Barton) that apologized to BP would be in charge of regulating the oil industry if the Republicans are able to win back control of the House for their corporate masters. Seriously think about that.

The Democratic Party is far from perfect, but the Republican Party works tirelessly for corporate interests at the expense of the other 98% of us. They are a true enemy of just about every American. If you don’t realize that then quite frankly I consider you to be a manipulated fool. Wake up, brother. Wake up. Vote the Republican out of office until there are not enough of them left to cause problems.

Consider that the Republicans in the Senate recently filibustered a jobs bill that would have helped the economy because they think it’ll be better for them politically for the country to be in the dumps this November. This way they can blame it on the Democrats. Think about how disgusting that is. Republican politicians are true sociopaths.

I know some of my liberal friends out there will say that the Democrats are just as bad, but that’s actually complete bullshit. The primaries are great time to try to get better Democrats, but the general election is a time to make your vote against the Republicans count. Do not waste your vote on the Green Party or any other 3rd party candidate that has no chance. Be pragmatic. And stop it with the idealism that leads to apathy. The only way the right wing wins is with apathy. Vote.
