Radiohead – Special Collectors Edition Albums
By Marvin Marks on Sep 1, 2009 in Features
I’m not quite sure how I missed this (as I like to think of myself as a rather large Radiohead fan) but I just now noticed that there were “Special Collector Edition” versions of Radiohead’s first six albums (that’s 1993′s Pablo Honey through 2003′s Hail to the Thief) released this year.
Each of these Special Collectors Edition sets include two CDs (one with the album itself and the second with b-sides, demos, and live performances – sort of an “Anthology” for the era of that album) and one DVD (which includes music videos and live performances.)
While this does seem to be some kind of “cash grab” by the record company and I don’t know if the band themselves OK’d this project there does seem to be some really cool stuff on the bonus CDs (and the DVDs) so I’m probably going to end up buying all of them. A lot of their B-sides are just as good as their album tracks so if you haven’t heard them, I definitely recommend these sets.
Special Collectors Edition: Pablo Honey
Special Collectors Edition: The Bends
Special Collectors Edition: OK Computer
Special Collectors Edition: Kid A
Special Collectors Edition: Amnesiac
