Guidelines for TAGS

There are only three types of tags you should use:

1. Band/Artist Names

Be sure you are using the correct name. For example Eagles instead of The Eagles. If you are not sure whether to include the The or not look it up on allmusic.com --- Always use capitlization properly. It's important to keep everything the same otherwise the tagging system won't work.

2. YEAR

Generally you shouldn't choose more than one year for a post, but there may be some exceptions. For example if you write a feature titled "1967 Vs. 2007" it would make sense to include both 1967 and 2007 as tags. But generally try to keep it to just one year. Also note that any album release that comes out this year should be tagged with 2007. Generally only include the year tag if it's relevant to the post. Album reviews, song reviews... Use the year the album or song was released.

3. DECADE

50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s are the only choices to use. Generally you'll want to use just one but again there may be some situations where you use multiple. For example an article titled "60s vs 80s - which decade made for better music?"
