The Beatles 1 Hit #1 On The UK Album Charts On November 25, 2000

The Beatles’ collection of #1 singles (27 songs that hit #1 in either the UK or the US. In most cases the song hit #1 both countries) simply titled 1 hit #1 on the UK album charts on November 25, 2000. It stayed at #1 for 11 weeks.
The collection sold an incredible 3.6 million copies in it’s first week worldwide. And at last count it had sold nearly 27 million copies worldwide to date including over 10 million in the United States and over 2.7 million in the UK.
Only Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (4.8 million) has sold more copies in the UK among Beatles albums.
It was the biggest selling album of 2001 in the US (and #6 in 2000 despite having been out for less than two months.)
