The Beatles Remastered Stereo Catalog in MP3 Format on USB
By Marvin Marks on Nov 4, 2009 in Features
The Beatles remastered stereo catalog will now be available to purchase in MP3 (and 24bit FLAC) format in this cute little “Apple” USB stick available on December 8th of this year. It’s compatible with PC & Mac (and should work with all mp3 players including iPod & Zune.)
This is the first time that The Beatles music has ever been available to purchase in a digital format. The MP3s are 320Kbps (high quality) and for those of you who don’t know, FLAC is a lossless format that sounds just as good as a CD, but in this case the FLAC files are 24bit compared to CD which is in 16bit so it should actually sound superior to the CDs.
This apple shaped USB memory stick includes the entirety of The Beatles in Stereo Box Set in digital form. That includes all 14 albums (including the Past Masters double disc compilation which covers all of their non-album tracks) along with all of the visual elements (the 13 mini-documentaries, the expanded liner notes, original UK album art, and photos.)
There are only 30,000 copies of The Beatles USB being made, so it could become a collectors item.

For anyone confused by the Apple… that’s The Beatles company Apple that they formed in 1968, not the computer company.
