Thom Yorke’s First Show With His New Band Was Friday Night

Thom Yorke and his new band made their debut in LA Friday night playing all nine songs from Yorke’s first solo album The Eraser and following that up with an additional seven songs (four performed by Yorke on his own, and three with the band.)

Four of those seven songs are previously unreleased. “Paperback Writer” is a Radiohead track from Com Lag, it was the only Radiohead song played. “Feeling Pulled Apart By Horses” and “The Hollow Earth,” were released as Thom Yorke 12″ vinyl single and are going to be made available for digital download on October 6 (that’s Tuesday.)

It’s unclear whether the four unreleased songs will be Radiohead songs or Thom Yorke songs or something else.

Check out this Spinner.com article for more info on the show. This YouTube user uploaded a lot of pretty good quality videos of the show if you want to see & hear it for yourself.

The most surprising thing I’ve noticed from these videos so far is that while Flea managed to keep his shirt on, Yorke struggled to do so.
